BAKE Off is back on our screens and Dave is one of the new bakers.
He loves baking bread, which should put him in good stead for tonight's bread week episode (October 6).
Who is Bake Off star Dave?
Dave is 30 years old and is an Armoured Guard.
He relied on the cooking of mum for his whole life, until he moved out to live with his girlfriend in their first home.
Then his love affair with baking began – now he bakes at least once a week and likes to incorporate baking gadgets.
His favourite thing to bake is bread, which will be handy for tonight's (October 6) episode in which contestants will face bread week.
He loves pretzels, brioche rolls, and baguettes.
Another strength of his is to give his bakes a glaze, making them even more aesthetically appealing.
He also loves punk rock music, cars, DIY, and has a cat and dog.
Where is Dave from?
Dave is from Hampshire.
He shares both his bakes and snaps from his personal life on Instagram @dave_friday_bakes.
What has Dave said about being on Bake Off?
Dave said finally getting on the show "felt like a long build up and that there were many hurdles to overcome first.
"It was a dream come true walking in on that first morning.”
He added that he was "looking forward to showing Paul and Prue my bakes and hearing those famous words, ‘On your marks, Get set…. BAKE!'"
Dave is a big Noel Fielding fan so admitted that "meeting Noel was a lifelong dream."
Dave says his strengths are that he can learn from his mistakes, so long as he can keep his cool.
"My strengths are the ability to learn from mistakes, take criticism and use it to improve.
"I am incredibly determined and see the positive in every situation.”
He continued: "Weaknesses would be feeling overwhelmed when mess builds up and struggling with some baking jargon”.
Dave has already had a run-in with fellow contestant Sura, who collided with Dave after swatting a fly.
His cakes fell to the floor and Sura won the round.
Fans thought it was deliberate sabotage… some remembered the infamous 'ice-cream gate' episode in a previous year.
