Who is Arielle Vandenberg?
Arielle Vandenberg is a comedian and actress, who previously appeared in the US sitcom How I Met Your Mother.
She has also had roles in Greek, Bones, Friends with Benefits and CSI: Crime Scene Investigation among others.
Meanwhile, her film credentials include The Ugly Truth, which Gerard Butler played the lead role in, and Epic Movie, a comedy flick.
The beauty has also starred in several television commercials for brands such as Mercedes-Benz, Coca-Cola Zero and State Farm Insurance.
Now, she is set to host the US version of Love Island, which will premiere in the states on July 9 on CBS.
Born September 27, 1986 in Los Angeles, California, Arielle is the only child of Dirk and DeEtte Vandenberg.
She was brought up in Fallbrook, California and graduated from Fallbrook Union High School.
At the age of five, Arielle studied three different types of dance – ballet, tap and jazz – and became involved in community theatre.
When did CBS announce Arielle Vandenberg as the host of Love Island US?
On Thursday, June 20, 2019 CBS confirmed Arielle would be joining the US version of Love Island.
Sharing her excitement at the news, the actress took to Instagram on the same day to thanks CBS bosses.
In view of her 1.2 million followers, she wrote: “HEY EVERYONE!!! I AM THE HOST OF LOVE ISLAND!!!! Are you kidding me? Dreams really do come true!
“I feel so honoured to be a part of this amazing @cbstv family! WOW! I’m buzzing right now! I’ve waited my whole life for a moment like this!

When does Love Island US air?
Love Island has taken the UK by storm and now it is time to do the same overseas, as the hit reality show will be broadcast in the states.
The programme launches with a 90-minute episode on July 9, 2019 and will be followed by one-hour long shows every weeknight on CBS until August 7, 2019.
Singletons looking for love will live together and must “couple-up” to stay in the property and win a cash prize.
Unlike the British version of the show, which takes place in Majorca, the US series will be filmed in Fiji.
