The daytime talk show host told followers on Instagram she couldn't believe her mistake!
Wendy said: "I made the mistake of going to the incinerator the other day with no shoes on.
"Now I didn't go all the way in. I just tossed a bag of plastic… I opened the door with a glove…
"When I got back in the house and I was like damn I didn't wear any flip flops.
"So I sprayed my feet down with Lysol. I sit there wait for it to dry. I get in the shower.
"I boil my feet. What are we doing?!"
The 55-year-old host, who is on hiatus during the coronvirus crisis, was talking to Instagram followers from a greenroom at the Dr. Oz show.
She's set to appear with Dr. Mehmet Oz on Friday.
Last week Wendy announced production on her show was halted because of the spread of the pandemic, following broadcasting two shows with only staff members in the audience.
A statement to the The Wendy Williams Show staff read: "To Our Dedicated Wendy Show Staff: The safety and well-being of our employees is our top priority.
“Considering the current escalation of the coronavirus, production will be put on hold, indefinitely.
“However, the office will remain open for you to pick up any materials or personal items. In place of live shows, we will air repeats.
“And we will continue to monitor the situation with the CDC and city officials to determine the best time to return and produce live shows again.
“Thank you for everything you do and please stay safe."
The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and Late Night With Seth Meyers were also shut down.
Since then Jimmy has been producing "Home Edition" shows.
His wife Nancy Juvonen has been acting as the camera operator.
Conan O'Brien will start shooting his entire show from home next week on an iPhone for broadcast on TBS.
