Towie star Amy Childs reveals she's got a new man months after splitting from ex Tim

THE Only Way Is Essex star Amy Childs has revealed she's got a new man just months after splitting from ex-boyfriend Tim.

Speaking exclusively on The Sun's The Official After Party on Sunday, the mother-of-two revealed she had been spending time with someone new.

Amy, 31, explained on the show that she had started dating a new man as they discussed romances on the latest series of the reality show.

"How's the love life?" host Bobby Norris could be heard asking the star as she sat on the panel digesting this week's drama-packed episode.

"Do you know what, Bob? I do rush into relationships, you know me," Amy told her fellow panellists. "I rush in, but do you know what? I'm happy."

She went on to reveal: "I'm seeing someone, a few dates – lovely. I would just like to see how it goes."

It comes just months after Amy revealed she had split from ex-boyfriend Tim, despite insisting that he could be 'The One'.

The heartbroken star ended their year-long relationship in July, reports suggested, before she jetted off on holiay to Ibiza.

"Amy and Tim are both heartbroken. They really hoped to make the relationship work, but the romance between them fizzled out," a source told the MailOnline.

"The breakup is still raw, so Amy is taking some time for herself in Ibiza, where she can have some space to get over things."

Amy confirmed their romance with a shot of the two of them together – which has since been deleted – in May 2020.

Amy lived with Tim during lockdown at her Brentwood home alongside daughter Polly and two-year-old son Ritchie Jnr, who she shares with businessman Ritchie.

Amy met Tim shortly after her disastrous Celebs Go Dating experience where she was cheated on while enjoying a freebie holiday.

Amy recently revealed the blazing rows she'd have with ex Tim – and admitted that they don't speak at ALL after their dramatic split.

Speaking in a new interview, the mum-of-two shared: "Tim and I got together in lockdown. There was so much going on, I was seeing him and then he was there all the time, and before you know it I was in a relationship.

"It was all so 'guns blazing', but over the two years we did have problems and it wasn’t plain sailing. We did really try to make it work."

Asked if there were arguments, Amy added to OK Online: "We were with each other every single day and we were like a married couple. We couldn’t go anywhere, nowhere was open and you don’t really know someone until a good 18-months in and we just didn’t get on any more.

"I can’t sit here and say he wasn’t good with the children, because he was, but I can’t stay with him because of that. I’ve had a lot of problems in this relationship, but I’m better, I’m now single and having a laugh on TOWIE."

She added: "There were problems, he knew we were having problems and I woke up one day and said: 'I can’t do this any more'."

Amy also revealed that she initially broke up with Tim in March before giving the relationship another go, but they weren't able to salvage it.

And the publication goes on to reveal that she hasn't spoken to Tim since their split, having been kept busy filming Towie, promoting the show with interviews, and even a moving back into her childhood home.

The red-haired beauty first shot to fame on The Only Way Is Essex back in 2010 and has returned this series after nine years away.

Her daughter Polly, four, will appear alongside her – but Amy previously revealed three-year-old son Richie is being kept out of the limelight for now.

TOWIE: The Official After Party is available to watch online every Sunday at 10pm after the main show on ITVBe.
