This Morning presenter Josie Gibson has claimed her co-star Phillip Schofield is very different off-screen – as rumours circulate that he is feuding with fellow presenters.
Josie, 37, will front the show next week with Vernon Kay during Phil's Easter break and has previously presented the show alongside Phil when Holly Willoughby was sick with Covid.
Some This Morning fans commented on social media that Josie seemed uneasy and "nervous" around Phil but Josie has now suggested that this is very far from the truth.
She told The Sun: "We often see 'presenter Phil' and sometimes I wish people would see more of 'the Phil' because he's bloody hilarious!
"He's also very gentle and he's really caring. When I had an ear infection, he was always checking up on me asking if I was alright – he's just lovely."
Her kind remarks about Schofe come after viewers claim he gave fellow presenter Alice Beer a 'death stare' on air last week.
When Alice told how Phil was about to turn sixty during an on-air segment he appeared to give her a disapproving look.
Alice said as she discussed loyalty cards: "If you're over 60 – that's you tomorrow isn't it, Phil – you can get…"
After Phil appeared to show his anger at her comments, she said: "Oh. Oh dear, I should never have done that should I?"
Phil, 59, then said: "What a strange way to resign."
One viewer said on Twitter afterwards: "No love lost between Josie and Phil. Could cut the atmosphere with a knife."
Phil's has also made it clear he dislikes his former co-presenter This Morning Eamonn Holmes, having previously described him as “passive-aggressive” and claiming he is “renowned for snubbing people.”
There are also rumours that Phil has a frosty relationship with Eamonn's wife and fellow ITV star Ruth Langsford.
