The Holiday viewers call out major mobile phone blunder as couple torn apart by affair

THE Holiday viewers have called out a major mobile phone blunder as a couple are torn apart by an affair.

The Channel 5 drama sees Jill Halfpenny's character Kate suspect her husband Sean of having an affair with one of her university friends who they are holidaying with in Malta.

Kate – a police officer – became suspicious after seeing a message exchange between Sean and 'CoralGirl', and realised one of her friends is the mystery woman.

However, viewers took issue with the scenes which saw Kate scrolling through the messages, as they felt the font was too small to read clearly.

Taking to Twitter, one wrote: "Note to producer…we can't read the texts #TheHoliday."

Another added: "Watching #Theholiday on Channel5; note to Directors, if your character is reading texts on a phone, please do close-up of the phone; otherwise the words are too small to read from my armchair."

A third tweeted: "Going to have to either get a bigger TV or my eyes tested, can’t read those phone messages! Might also need a hearing aid! #TheHoliday".

Meanwhile another wrote alongside a gif of Heidi Klum holding up a pair of binoculars and wrote: "What have I missed, can’t read the texts #TheHoliday."

Meanwhile, other viewers questioned how the four women and their families were friends in the first place.

One wrote: "These friends are all full of simmering dislike for each other, I don't understand #TheHoliday."

Another added: "If this lot are friends, I wouldn't like to meet their enemies. #TheHoliday."

A third joked: "They all get on sooooo well! #TheHoliday."

The Holiday continues tonight at 9pm on Channel 5.
