The Disappearance is a mystery crime drama series airing on 5STAR and it originally aired in Canada. The series tells the story of a distraught family as they attempt to find out what happened to their missing son, Anthony (played by Michael Riendeau). Fans are keen to know how many episodes are in the series as the mystery continues to unravel.
How many episodes are in The Disappearance?
The Disappearance originally aired in Canada back in 2017 and it follows the disappearance of a young boy on his 10th birthday.
The award-winning show reveals a number of dark family secrets as Anthony’s grandfather Henry (Peter Coyote) attempts to track him down.
He is a former judge who was known for his harsh prosecuting, but there is a mysterious side to his character.
In the first episode, which aired on February 6 at 9pm, Anthony’s school project caused tension between his family.
He later disappeared while on a scavenger hunt for his birthday, which was set up by his grandfather.
Fans will be pleased to hear there is plenty more drama to come as the series is made up of six episodes.
The episodes air weekly on Saturdays, at 9pm on the channel 5STAR and fans are able to catch up on My5 if they miss an episode.
Each episode has been given its own title, with episode two called The Tree, and it sees the investigation uncover family secrets.
The third episode, called Sacrifice, will then air on February 20 at the same time of 9pm.
Episode four is called Treasure Hunt, episode five Burial Grounds and the season finale is titled Redemption.
Viewers have enjoyed the weekly instalments as the tension builds ahead of each episode.
Sadly this is not a series for binging, as the streaming service My5 is only airing one episode at a time.
The series stars Aden Young as Anthony’s father Luke and Camille Sullivan as mother Helen.
The show is in the same vein as mystery thrillers such as the recent Channel 5 series, The Drowning.
The episodes have already aired in the UK on the Universal Channel in February 2018.

For many, however, this is the first time they have heard of the drama which was nominated for many Canadian Screen Awards.
Across the remaining episodes, viewers will see how Anthony’s family is left devastated by his sudden disappearance.
Their lack of confidence in the police means they take it upon themselves to frantically search for any clue that may lead them to Anthony.
Along the way some secrets are uncovered which threaten to break the dysfunctional family apart.
Henry launches his own private investigation into his grandson’s disappearance, which impedes the investigation led by his former colleague.
Micheline Lanctôt plays Henry’s old friend Lieutenant-Detective Susan Bowden in the series and her investigation is under threat.
As Anthony’s parents, Luke and Helen also join the desperate search and Luke starts to suspect Anthony’s disappearance has something to do with Henry.
Helen takes plenty of risks, no matter the cost, in a bid to find any clue that may lead her back to Anthony.
