'The Bachelorette': Why Tyler C. Probably Won't Be the Next Bachelor Now

We know Chris Harrison calls every season of The Bachelorette the most dramatic one ever, but this time he wasn’t lying. Hannah Brown was really put through the ringer with this one.

In the end, she fell in love with two men, which is pretty common for Bachelorettes, but she eventually chose Jed Wyatt, leaving Tyler Cameron in the dust.

This is usually where the story ends. But not this time.

What happened with Wyatt and Brown?

Unfortunately for Brown, right after she got engaged she began hearing rumors about her husband-to-be. His former girlfriend, Haley Stevens, came out and said that she and Wyatt were still together when he left for the show.

“The first news I had of anything was really the day after we got engaged,” she said on the live finale. “But it was just that he wanted to let me know that if there was anything said, there was a girl he was hanging out with, and I was just like, ‘Okay, what does that mean? And did you end it?’ I can’t expect for every guy for six months not to have gone on dates. But ultimately, he told me, and I was like, ‘You know what happened the first night, so was it a week, a month, what was it?’ He told me it was a week, he ended it a week before, it wasn’t a girlfriend, he was just hanging out with her, so I was like, ‘Well I can get through that,’ but it was so disappointing that I had to find out the day after I got engaged.”

But the lies didn’t stop there. Eventually, Brown found out that Wyatt had been telling Stevens that he loved her up until right before he came to the mansion. This caused her to break off her engagement.

What this means for Cameron and Brown

Usually, the runner up has a great chance of becoming the Bachelor. It’s the perfect story of redemption. The runner up goes from literally being left standing with a ring in his pocket to finding true love. It’s the story everyone wants to hear.

Wow. Today was long and trying but I want to say thank you to all of the outlets who allowed me a platform to tell my story. The past few months have definitely been the hardest yet most fulfilling of my life. I opened my heart to love, and shared that experience with millions. I’ve had my fair share of ups and downs and as painful as it has been at times, I wouldn’t change it one bit. Did I make choices that hurt my heart? Absolutely. Have I become stronger through that hurt? You bet. I realized how strong of a woman I am, and how resilient I can be. My love story might not have been the one I would have initially written for myself; however, falling more in love with the woman I am at the end of this journey is something I’ll always look back on fondly. This is not my ending; it’s just my beginning. And to your burning questions: Yes, the drink is happening. No, you’re not invited. I’m really appreciative that Tyler has always had my back and supported me through all my decisions. He constantly encourages me to lean into the strong woman that I am. He’s a really good man, and I’m going to be his biggest fan in whatever makes him the happiest. roll tide.

But unfortunately for Cameron, this probably won’t be his storyline.

After Brown broke up with Wyatt, she began reminiscing on her relationship with Cameron.

“I was immediately attracted to Tyler, but I didn’t take it seriously at first,” she told People. “I was so scared to get hurt by him. And I didn’t know if he was really ready for [marriage]. Then I started to slowly break down. And [by] the Fantasy Suites, it wrecked me. I felt like I did a disservice because I hadn’t allowed myself that time to be ready to be engaged to Tyler.”

“Tyler will always have a place in my heart no matter what our relationship looks like,” she continued. “The feelings I developed for him were real and they don’t shut off instantly. And it’s hard to say [yet] what the future holds with him, or anyone else.”

Cameron and Brown may get back together

Brown had been thinking about her runner-up so much that she decided to ask him out at the live finale.

“I want somebody to be bold and I’m bold and I make bold moves so you’re an incredible guy and I’m a single girl,” Brown said to Cameron. “So… I don’t know. I thought maybe we could go for a drink and just hang out?”

Cameron, of course, happily agreed.

Why Cameron probably won’t be the Bachelor

As long as there is still a chance that Brown and Cameron might get back together, it is doubtful that production will choose him to be the next Bachelor. Viewers will be happier with his love story if he ends up with Brown then if Brown remains single while he goes off to find love.
