The Apprentice’s Harpreet u-turns on firing sister after Lord Sugar clash

The Apprentice's all-female final four were whittled down to two in last night's episode (Thursday 17 March), leaving Harpreet Kaur and Kathryn Burn to battle it out for Lord Sugar's £250K investment.

Last night's episode revealed that Harpreet is incredibly close to her sister, with whom she co-owns her dessert business. However, Lord Sugar wasn't keen on investing in someone who hadn't been through the process.

Despite Harpreet's assurances that her sister would step down if required, she took to Instagram this afternoon (Friday 18 March) to set the record straight and say she won't be "chucking her out."

Harpreet's 25.6K followers got to meet Harpreet's sister, Guv, in an Instagram story captioned: "I'm not chucking her out don't worry. Family over everything."

In the video, Guv says: "Hi everybody. Everybody seems to have something to say. Yes, I am the sister."

Harpreet also made a touching video dedicated to her sister where she said: "Hey guys, meet Guv. She is the co-founder of our dessert business and she's also my sister.

"We run the business together. She works with me on all of the growth plans. We love sitting down over a coffee and making plans for the future of our business.

"Guv is always working hard. You can find her in our stores. She looks after all of our team and makes sure customers are happy and things are running smoothly. We make an amazing team and I couldn't do this without her. She's my best friend!"

Harpreet has caused quite a stir with her straight-talking, no-nonsense approach to teamwork, and the 30 year old didn't mince her words when it came to tempering Lord Sugar's doubts.

With concerns raised over the fact that Lord Sugar would be going into business with someone he'd never met, she savagely revealed in the show that it wouldn't be a problem for her sister to step down.

It looked like it was all over for Harpreet when Lord Sugar explained that the point of the process was for him to invest in an individual.

However, she narrowly beat Steff Affleck to the finish line and secured her spot in the final.
