Teen Mom Kailyn Lowry says she 'hates' a 'farmhouse style' home after co-star Chelsea Houska built her dream mansion

KAILYN Lowry took a swipe at Chelsea Houska today after her MTV co-star built her dream farmhouse mansion.

The Teen Mom 2 star, 29, told fans "no offense to anyone who likes farmhouse (style) but I hate it" as she stood in the grounds of her own future home.

Kailyn took part in a Q&A on her Instagram Story and talked about her plans for a modern house.

She said she wanted "a little more edge" to her home and for it to feel "different to every other house I've had or been in".

Kailyn revealed she will ditch a basement in favour of a billiards room for the kids, as she stood with her back to incredible forest and fields around the home.

The star admitted she was "so grateful" as she documented the inside of the Dover home, which has now started taking shape thanks to the walls going up.

Earlier this month, Kailyn revealed her builders are back to work after she changed the layout of the home – following the discovery that it was "too small."

She admitted it still feels "smaller in person" than on the architect plans.

The mother-of-four said she "cried her eyes out" and felt "depressed" after realizing her home would be "too small."

It comes as Chelsea showed off her new farmhouse as she put the finishing touches to her home last month.

The star has been working on the property with husband, Cole DeBoer.

The couple have been working on their farmhouse, documenting the construction progress since January 11th last year.

But since moving in and showing fans the inside of the home, the Teen Mom alum has received heavy backlash over many of her design choices.

Her nursery for her fourth baby was branded "basic" by unimpressed Teen Mom fans.

The room has a stylish yellow, black and white color palette thanks to the floral wallpaper.

While Chelsea – who is due to give birth early next year – and Cole were clearly pleased with the results, others weren't quite so taken with the bold decor.
