Callum Highway (Tony Clay) has been struggling with his sexuality, especially since Ben Mitchell (Max Bowden) got under his skin and realised that he was gay despite him being engaged to Whitney Dean (Shona McGarty).
But after Callum decides to open up about his complex feelings to his brother Stuart (Ricky Champ) in EastEnders, a man not renowned for being trusted, will his secret troubled feelings coming to light? And, if Ben and Callum have been engaging in an affair, will the truth come to light before Callum is ready?
With Ben playing mind games with Callum, he determines to focus on Whitney and put it out of his mind. Whitney is worried about how distant he is being with her and when he texts to say that he wants to meet up, she fears the worst – only for him to then surprise her by popping the question.
However this gesture and subsequent focus on a wedding does little to help Callum with his situation and he eventually opens up to his brother – speaking about issues ‘a friend’ is having. Stuart quickly realises who he is talking about after seeing him being distracted by Ben and when Callum asks for advice, will Stuart step up and be a brother?
He shares some wise words – but how long before he confronts Ben – and potentially exposes everything before Callum has even got his own head around it all?
One to watch: Friday 14th June at 8pm on BBC One.
