After both couples had performed a second time during the dance-off, the judges delivered their verdicts, with only Anton Du Beke voting to save Marsh.

He said: "As you'd expect at this time of the competition, the quality of the dance-off was incredible.

    Eagle-eyed fans spot Helen's not-so-subtle dig at ex-husband

During Helen's fiery performance on Friday, it appeared as though she flashed her middle finger during her cabaret routine as the music said: "Bye bye mein liber herr, it was a a fine affair, but now it's over".

Eagle-eyed fans took this to be a well-timed gesture, as the lyric seemingly resonated with Helen over her split from Leeds Rhinos ace Richie Myler in April this year.

One keen-eyed fan tweeted: "Helen went from a cute, charismatic kids presenter to a powerful, confident woman who just said a massive f*** you to her slimy ex on one of the biggest shows on national TV. What a woman. I cannot get over it."

Molly Rainford is the youngest celeb in this year’s Strictly, however, she explained how the show helped her to grow from a girl into a woman.

She said: “Strictly is definitely bringing out a different side in me, but it was tricky not feeling awkward about being that sensual and feminine.

“Of course, it was important that this dance was more than a sexy rumba — we also wanted to show this romantic story and the passionate side of us.

“But it was great to show the adult side of me and not just be the kid of the competition.”

She said: "I’m feeling so blessed to still be in this competition.

"Thank you to everyone who did vote and support us, I couldn’t be more grateful & thank you to the judges for keeping my @bbcstrictly dream alive for another week."
