Max Branning (Jake Wood) makes a huge decision in EastEnders, as he reminisces about daughter Abi (Lorna Fitzgerald).
Max has been struggling as of late, after Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) chose to be with soulmate Mick (Danny Dyer) instead of jetting off to New Zealand with him.
In the coming episodes, he continues to struggle, and — as he looks after baby Abi — he begins to reminisce about her mother.
Viewers will know that Abi fell to her death several years ago, after tumbling from the roof of the Queen Vic.
Jack Branning (Scott Maslen) begins to worry that Max isn’t coping, but his attention is elsewhere given Denise Fox’s (Diane Parish) disappearance.
Max spots a flyer for a clairvoyant named Bea, and — later in the week — he makes the decision to go and meet with Bea.
After meeting with her, he becomes emotional and breaks down, as he doesn’t know what to believe.
Jack informs Rainie Highway (Tanya Franks) that Max isn’t himself, and therefore she decides to keep Abi for another night, as she’s convinced he isn’t fit to look after her.
Will Max be okay?
