Rachel Riley joined five other TV stars as the celebrity panel on Saturday’s edition of Blankety Blank. Bradley Walsh returned to host the BBC reboot and ordered the Countdown presenter to “come and work for the BBC” after the maths expert took a swipe at the Channel 4 show.

Introducing the first batch of prizes for the first round, Bradley teased Countdown’s Rachel.

“We’ve got some amazing prizes tonight,” the presenter began.

“You’re both playing for the ultimate games package in the super match game.

“We’re talking pool table, table football and a dartboard with real darts.”

“I think the prizes are alright,” Bradley said to the celebrity guests.

Rachel commented: “Better than Countdown – you still just get a teapot if you win.”

“Dartboard and table football that’s amazing,” she added.

“Thank you very much, Rachel,” Bradley quipped. “She can come and work for the BBC.”

Rachel was joined by Rhod Gilbert, Scarlett Moffatt and Ore Oduba on the celebrity panel.

RuPaul’s Drag Race star Baga Chipz and Liza Tarbuck completed the line-up.

Bradley remarked: “Baga Chipz I’ve got to come to you because you do a version of Blankety Blank on Drag Race.”

“Yeah it’s called The Snatch Game and you have to impersonate a celebrity,” Baga Chipz replied.

A confused Bradley questioned: “So what do you have to do?”

“It’s exactly the same as Blankety Blank it’s just [for example] Rachel Riley’s walking down the shops and she’s forgotten her ‘blank’ with drag queens,” Baga Chipz answered.

“It’s literally the same game,” Rhod quipped and the host joked: “Well I don’t get this one.”

“That’s the problem, isn’t it?” The comedian hit back.

Bradley asked Liza: “This won’t be the first time you’ve done this, you must have done this in a different carnation.”

“With Terry [Wogan] and Lily [Savage],” Liza replied. “I was a child, quite interesting, isn’t it?”

“How does Brad compare?” Rachel asked and she answered: “Absolutely shocking.”

Blankety Blank continues on BBC One on Saturday at 8.55pm
