Piers Morgan, 54, was joined by Susanna Reid, 49, to host today’s edition of Good Morning Britain, with the pair discussing a matter of topical subjects. One of the main talking points continues to be the coronavirus outbreak in the UK, with the presenter’s talking about the preventive measures they’re taking to avoid spreading the disease. However, as the former decided to make a joke of things this morning, he left his colleague horrified as she was forced to jump away from him and refusing to touch him.
The Government are currently telling members of the public to ensure they maintain high levels of hygiene and stand at least one meter away from one another.
Some have taken this information to not touch one another in fear of spreading the COVID-19 strain any further.
Joking around at their desk and discussing the size of their hands, Piers suggested he and Susanna make a very close comparison.
However, the latter was left horrified and immediately moved away from her co-star as she didn’t want to take the risk of touching him.

It came after a viewer suggested Piers seemed to be dressing and acting similarly to President Donald Trump, 73.
One of the characteristic traits picked up on was the host speaking through the movement of his hands, making several gestures when talking.
The presenter then claimed he had very big hands, asking both Susanna and news anchor Charlotte Hawkins, 44, to put theirs against his to see how big they were.
Suggesting he and his co-star put their hands together, despite the medical advice given by the Government over coronavirus, she seemed very uneasy.
I don’t want to touch it
“No, I don’t want to touch it,” Susanna declared, to which Piers reiterated his instruction, but she continued to refuse.
“I can’t touch you,” she said, with her co-star explaining: “I’m not asking you to touch me, put it up against mine.”
“A metre apart?” she asked, to which her co-host replied: “For goodness sake,” before bringing out a fake arm so the pair could psychically touch one another.
Piers began stroking Susanna’s hair with the prop as Charlotte whipped out a tape measure to make it clear who far apart they should be from one another.

Bringing out a second arm prop, Piers said it was “quite creepy,” as neither of his co-stars wanted to get any closer to him.
Yesterday’s show saw Susanna issue a warning to her co-star after he coughed into his hand live on air and in light of a discussion on how to prevent the spread of coronavirus.
Piers was speaking to Dr Hilary Jones, 66, about the stockpiling crisis, but had to sealer his throat mid-way through his conversation.
The host apologised, but his co-star told him: “You only cough into a tissue! Then put the tissue straight into the bin.”
