Viewers of the show were left stunned as the Korean drama seemed to guess the coronavirus pandemic as far back as 2018.

The show, which features Korean stars So Ji-sub, Jung In-sun, Son Ho-jun and Im Se-mi, featured an episode which shows a coronavirus being mutated to be used as a weapon, with a doctor keen to find a cure.

They mention: "Someone tweaked it to increase the mortality rate to 90%,’ she’s shown saying, after comparing coronavirus to MERS."

She chillingly adds: "What’s more serious, is that the coronavirus has an incubation period of two to 14 days," an isolation period that has been recommended by medical experts for those fighting COVID-19 today.

The drama would go on to mention that the deadly bug attacks the lungs after just five minutes of exposure.

Later on, a scene showed a class of children being taught how to wash their hands properly to avoid the spread of the virus, another piece of advice that has been mentioned countless times since the virus started to spread.

Historically, the word ‘coronavirus’ has referred to several viruses, including the common cold before it was associated with COVID-19.

The entire episode struck fear into engrossed followers of the show, who took to Twitter to voice their shock and awe.

"In the drama My Secret Terrius that was released in 2018 (UNIQ’s sungjoo was among the cast) they talked in details about the corona virus…. I had goosebumps…,’ one viewer said.
