Mel B denies lying about claims she ‘had sex’ with Geri Horner: ‘I’m not apologising’

Mel B has denied she lied about having sex with Geri Horner during their early days in The Spice Girls.

The singer appeared on Good Morning Britain on Tuesday, where she was quizzed on the claims by Piers Morgan after Geri branded the allegations as “disappointing rumours”.

Speaking to Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid, 44 year old Mel said: “We’re friends at the end of the day. Listen, she’s used to dealing with me. So I’m going to say whatever I’m going to say within reason, respectfully.

“I’m going to tell the truth so she just has to swallow that pill. I’m not apologising.” Mel added: “I’m not a liar. And it’s old news, this happened such a long time ago.”

Mel had appeared on Piers Morgan’s Life Stories where she revealed the claims for the first time, saying she and Geri had a one night stand.

She explained: “[Geri] is going to hate me for this because she is all posh in her country house and her husband, but it’s a fact.

“It just happened and we just giggled at it and that was it. We were best friends. Have you ever done that?” And she added of Geri: “She had great boobs.”

A representative for Geri denied the claims in a statement released before the girls embarked on their UK tour.

They said: “It has been very disappointing to read about all these rumours again, especially on Mother’s Day of all days. Geri is really grateful for your support and loyalty for so many years.

“She loves the Spice Girls: Emma, Melanie, Melanie and Victoria. She would like [the fans] to know that what has been reported recently is simply not true and has been very hurtful to her family."

The rep then concluded: "Moving forward, Geri can't wait to see the girls and all the fans on the tour, have an amazing time with everyone, and make some new memories.”
