Love Island fans confused as they spot Chloe’s mystery second phone on show

Love Island viewers were convinced they'd spotted Chloe Burrows using two mobile phones within the villa.

On Tuesday's show, Chloe, 25, had been lying on the day bed with a phone in her hand when another device was pulled out from underneath her.

The former marketing student then read out the famous line: "I've got a text."

However, eagle-eyed fans claimed that she seemed to obtain two phones and took to Facebook to call out producers.

The post read: "On last night's show Chloe was lying on the day bed with a mobile phone labelled Chloe, but then when the phone dinged and she got the text, she pulled a phone from underneath her.

"Does this mean that they are given a show phone, that sends the announcement texts and does that in turn mean they know even before the text, that something is going to happen….?"

A flurry of online users took to the comments section, declaring that they had also spotted the phone switch.

One person penned: "I thought this too maybe she picked up someone else’s phone? Because it looked the same as hers."

Another read: "I thought this too maybe she picked up someone else’s phone? Because it looked the same as hers."

"Yeah I noticed that too… thing is they don’t always carry the phones around, but they always have them when a text comes through! Would be so much better Big Bro style," wrote a third.

A fourth responded: "Yes they will know. Its scripted and cut quickly. They won't have time for them to not know. The only thing that they won't know is about evictions."

While a fifth blamed the ITV editors of the show for the mishap.

They added: "She didn't have 2, as we see it is all edited so chances are its her phone she had in her hand earlier and had put it under her."

Meanwhile, Tuesday's show ended on a cliffhanger with six contestants in the running to be evicted from the villa.

Chloe, Toby Aromolaran, Teddy Soares, Lucinda Strafford, Danny Bibby and AJ Bunker were all left vulnerable and awaiting their fate which was to be decided by the other islanders.

The bombshell eviction will see one boy and girl exit the show immediately.

Love Island continues on ITV2 this evening.
