Love Island viewers had mixed reactions as Faye Winter and Teddy Soares kissed and made up after their explosive argument.
In tonight’s episode, Faye apologised to her partner after launching into a foul-mouthed tirade last week when he admitted to having a sexual attraction to Casa Amor girl Clarisse Juliette.
Many viewers said they had complained to Ofcom over the shocking scenes and undoubtedly thought it was over between the couple, especially after Faye dumped Teddy.
However, she had a change of heart and pulled Teddy for a private chat to apologise for her reaction.
‘There’s no excuse,’ she said, adding: ‘I don’t say sorry to anyone, sorry rarely ever leaves my lips.’
Confirming that she did want to reignite their romance, Faye said: ‘I’m not done, hopefully I can continue with you on this journey.’
Teddy briefly had reservations and replied: ‘It’s the I’m done situation and I want to move forward alone situation which, out of absolutely everything, hurt me the most.
‘It’s not gonna be so easy for me.’
Faye responded while breaking down into tears: ‘I do want that step with you but obviously it’s hard for me to say this now but as soon as you said that I obviously just went into self sabotage mode. Then it all went to s**t.
‘I’m not gonna ask you to forgive me straight away.’
Teddy finally put her out of her misery and the two shared their first kiss since the row.
Reacting to the U-turn, one viewer commented: ‘Listen, if Teddy wants Faye, he wants Faye. It is lovely to see him smiling like that again though.’
Not impressed that Teddy has gone back to his ex, another weighed in: ‘Teddy needs to realise his self worth, he deserves so much better than faye.’
‘Teddy needs to at least make Faye SWEAT. Very hard,’ another said.
Love Island airs weeknights at 9pm on ITV2.
