Love Island 2019: What does Anna Vakili really think about Sherif Lanre Love Island exit?

ITV2 series Love Island has been hit with drama after Sherif Larne quit the show after he broke the rules of the villa. Sherif seemed to be doing well in the house after he was coupled up with Anna Vakili and the pair had a burgeoning romance. Anna and Sherif were getting to know each other even though she seemed uncertain about him initially.

Before Sherif left, he and Anna shared a short kiss as he praised her for her loyalty during the recoupling.

Last night’s (Wednesday, June 12) episode saw Anna understandably glum at Sherif’s exit.

To make matters worse, Anton Danyluk tried to make a move on Anna now she was without a partner.

His opening gambit saw him telling Anna that it was, in fact, Molly-Mae Hague who was his “type on paper to a tee” whereas she wasn’t but nice on “the inside”.

Speaking in the Beach Hut about losing her couple status, she said: “It’s weird being single because I started this journey off in a couple with Sherif and I’m going to miss him.”

She went on to say about Anton’s ham-fisted chat up attempt: “But I do want to be someone’s type to a tee, someone that’s attracted to me from the beginning That’s what I want and I’m not settling for less.”

Anna later told the others Anton’s attempts to get together with her, leading Amber Gill to lash out at him.

With the support of Michael Griffiths, Amber scathingly told Anton: “Anna’s not feeling her best today. No, listen, why the f*** did you go over and say, ‘Molly-Mae is my type to a tee but personality you’? Did you know how she felt when you said that?”

Anna is now single and will need to couple up with someone or risk following Sherif out the door.

Her chances don’t look good after two new girls – Maura Higgins and Elma Pazar – entered the villa and went on dates with some of the boys.

With fewer men in the villa, Anna’s options have been drastically reduced – unless someone new is introduced and catches her eye.

Reflecting on her perfect guy, Anna previously said: “I don’t know if he exists! He would be tall, good- looking, dark hair and dark eyes. He would be fit.

“Personality-wise, he would be loyal, kind and emotional. I like the soppy guys. I’m not into cocky boys at all, I like smart and funny.”

Sherif’s departure from Love Island was only briefly been mentioned on the show after narrator Iain Stirling said: “Earlier today, following conversations with the producers, Sherif left the villa. But for other Islanders, it’s another day in paradise.”

ITV has also confirmed Sherif won’t be appearing on Love Island: Aftersun to address what happened that led to his exit.

Following the news Sherif had quit Love Island, ITV shared a statement which read: “After breaking the villa rules S had conversations with the producers and it was mutually agreed that he would leave the Love Island villa.”

Sherif also said: “In a case of poor judgement, I broke the villa rules and as a result agreed with the producers that it was best for me to leave the villa.”

He went on to say: “I regret that I didn’t conduct myself in the right way and, as a 20-year-old guy, it’s something I know I will take on board and learn from.

“I really enjoyed my time in the villa and look forward to catching up with everyone on the outside,” Sherif added.

Love Island airs every night on ITV2 at 9pm
