Katie Price offers to sell 'worthless' pink Range Rover for SCRAP and denies hiding it from bankruptcy bailiffs

KATIE Price has today offered to sell her "worthless" bright pink Range Rover for scrap – and denied hiding it from bankruptcy bailiffs.

The model, 42, says she doesn't live a lavish lifestyle during a Skype call to an insolvency court from a £1,400-a-night resort in the Maldives.

And during the hearing, she told a judge she'd considered selling her infamous pink Range Rover for scrap.

Katie has been accused of "hiding" the vehicle from bailiffs – but says she only didn't declare it as it's “worthless and unroadworthy”.

Last year, she attempted to flog the car to her friends after she was arrested for drink driving in the vehicle in 2018.

She offered close friends and family the chance to buy the car for £90,000.

A friend told SunOnline the offer was a "bit cheeky" because the car needs so much work done.

Previous attempts to sell the car on eBay had failed due to "jokers messing her around".

However, the vehicle never sold to a pal – and now Pricey says it could be scrapped for cash.

Today, the star said: "I appreciate I have not been easy to communicate with and hard to track down, but I have not hidden.

"I will work hard to make this right, however long this takes."

Katie was officially declared bankrupt last November – but has been on six holidays since.

Janet Hallamore, for the Official Receiver, told the judge today that there are currently three issues to resolve, involving Katie's "income and expenditure", how she has been funding recent holidays, and the "theft of jewellery".

But Katie said claims she has been enjoying a string of luxury holidays aren't true – adding that she doesn't live a "lavish lifestyle".

She said “ninety percent” of her trips are for business – and said she's seeing a therapist and is on the "road to recovery".

She's currently in the Maldives with new boyfriend Carl, 31.

The pair have posted pictures of themselves taking boat rides and relaxing by the pool on Instagram.

But today, Katie insisted the trip was a “work assignment”.

The model also tackled the claims about missing jewellery – and said she had reported the matter to the police more than six months ago after her home was vandalised.

One of Katie's creditors – people she owes money to – is her ex-husband Alex Reid.

She was ordered to pay him £25,000 by a High Court judge last year as a result of misusing private information about his sex life.

She told the hearing the thought that Mr Reid may be attending court pushed her "anxiety levels through the roof" and had contributed to her mental state.

Katie’s turbulent year

Katie Price is enjoying a break with her new boyfriend Carl Woods after a turbulent year.

The star has faced a difficult 12 months.

Perhaps the hardest knock of all happened in July, when son Harvey, 18 was rushed into intensive care after his temperature soared to 40c.

The reality star was left fearing the worst after doctors said the 18-year-old was at risk of a heart attack or organ failure, which could plunge him into a coma.

Harvey suffers partial blindness, Prader-Willi syndrome, autism, and learning and behavioural difficulties.

Meanwhile, her mum Amy is terminally ill.

Amy was diagnosed with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis in 2017.

The illness causes scarring to the lungs which reduces the sufferer's ability to breathe and there is currently no cure.

In July, a puppy owned by her daughter Princess was suffocated by a chair.

In a video to fans, a tearful Katie said: "As a mum I just feel for Princess.

"It’s awful, the dog’s gone.

"We’re all distraught, the whole family."

Her home was burgled during the summer – leaving her fearing the property is 'cursed'.

She and her children currently live in a rental property nearby while the £1.3m Sussex pad is renovated.

And in November last year, she split with fiancé Kris Boyson, 31.

She'd revealed her engagement to him on July 25 that year during an appearance on Loose Women.

During the original November hearing, a court heard the mum-of-five had suffered a 'bad breakdown' and spent five weeks in celebrity rehab clinic the Priory – which costs £5,000 a week.

Upon her arrival at the clinic, she begged staff: "Help me to sort out my head – this is my last chance to do it.

"I don't want to die, I don't want to kill myself – help me."

Katie was once worth £45million.

She told the court: "In the past, at the height of my career, I was a model and massive taxpayer."

Judge Schaffer adjourned the proceedings until November 18 for a directions hearing.

Katie may have to undergo an examination for the court to assess her finances.
