Her most lauded performance came in a starring role in Shakespeare in Love alongside Oscar winner Dame Judi Dench.
Imelda won a Screen Actors’ Guild award for her performance in the 1998 classic.

Bessie has also continued the period drama theme of her parents, starring in Netflix hit Bridgerton.

Imelda will follow other acting giants Olivia Colman and Claire Foy in depicting Her Royal Highness on the historic drama.
Ahead of filming the latest instalment of The Crown, Imelda opened up on her emotions of playing the late Queen Elizabeth II.
She told the Radio Times: “I’m afraid that night I was inconsolable.
“I was very glad I wasn’t due to be working the next day. They couldn’t have filmed on this face.”
