Her increase is the second-highest, with Amol Rajan leading the way in first place for the biggest increase.

Altogether, the BBC Breakfast favourite earns a total salary of £365,000-£369,999, which covers BBC Breakfast, Panorama, and Radio 5 Live's Naga Munchetty Programme.

Despite her pay increase, Naga isn't the highest earner for the broadcaster as Gary Lineker still takes the lead.

The ex-football star is the only name to earn over £ 1 million annually.

BBC Radio 2's Zoe Ball comes in as the second highest earner with her salary for the past year coming in at £980,000-£984,999.

What is Naga Munchetty's net worth?

Munchetty has an estimated net worth of $12 million ( roughly £9.9 million), according to celebritiesbuzz.

Naga was one of the female employees at the BBC who made complaints against the corporation over equal pay in 2017.

In an interview with the Guardian, Naga confirmed that she, Louise Minchin, Dan Walker and Charlie Stayt are all paid equally after the complaint.

She said: “The outcome is that all four main presenters of BBC Breakfast are paid equally for their work.

“There are four main presenters who present three days a week, we do the same job, we have the same level of responsibility, the same expectation; we should be paid the same."
