Hit and Run follows the story of a happily married man, Segev Azulay (played by Loir Raz) whose life is upended by the tragic death of his wife, Danielle (Kaelen Ohm). The espionage drama charts a brutal path for Segev as he attempts to protect his loved ones and stop a rising international terrorist plot. But what happened to Ella (Neta Orbach) in the Netflix series finale?
What happened to Ella in Hit and Run?
WARNING: This article contains major spoilers from Hit and Run.
During the early moments of the season finale, things started to look up for Segev as he had managed to secure the protection of his family.
The Israeli mercenary and gun for hire reached Naomi Hicks (Sanaa Lathan) in time to save her from the Mossad agent.
However, not everyone was safe and it wasn’t long until Segev had to get his hands dirty again to save his loved ones.
Segev was over in New York, but events were going from bad to worse in Tel Aviv as Shira, Segev’s ex-wife, and Ella still weren’t safe.
Tali (Moran Rosenblatt), pleaded with them to leave the country until Segev returned, but Shira wouldn’t hear it.
Shira explained that she couldn’t face hiding out in the countryside any longer as it was boring for Ella.
She was also beginning to doubt there was anything to hide from as she told Tali that Segev was always fighting “imaginary wars”.
Tali quickly snapped back explaining that Segev’s spy war was in fact real but it was no use as Shira couldn’t accept it to be true.
In an ominous moment, Ella, before joining Shira in leaving, turned to Tali and said they had to lock the sheep up at night so that the jackals wouldn’t get them.
That moment turned out to be a deadly premonition as the next day Tali returned to find them, but searched only to find empty rooms.
That was until she came across the body of Shira who had been shot in the head, distressing Tali even further that she couldn’t find Ella.
Her search was fruitless as Ella was nowhere in sight, leading to the assumption that someone had kidnapped her.
It wasn’t clear who had come to the house at night, either the Mossad or the CIA, with both sides potentially taking Ella.
In the final moments of the season, Tali rang Segev to tell him the grim news.
Segev immediately started running after he found out what happened to Ella, leaving the door wide open for a second season.
Fans will have to wait and see what Ella’s fate is, but there is no doubt Segev will do whatever it takes to find her.
As he was in New York when he received the call, when he finally arrives back in Tel Aviv the trail will be cold, leading to a more desperate search in what would likely be a darker second season.
Currently, Netflix has not renewed the show for season two, though as it was just released, that is no surprise.
News on season two will most likely come in the coming months, following the reaction from fans on the first season.
So far the reaction to the show has been strong, with fans loving the show.

Another fan added: “I have been watching a Netflix series called Hit and Run. It’s pretty good.”
A third commented: “So are we going to get a second season of Hit and Run @netflix?”
Hit and Run is available to watch exclusively on Netflix.
