EastEnders has been taken off BBC One tonight to make way for coverage of the fifth round of the FA Cup. Denise Fox (played by Diane Parish) and Chelsea Fox (Zarah Abrahams) ended Monday’s instalment with a cliffhanger as they plotted to take down Lucas Johnson (Don Gilet) but fans will have to wait until Wednesday before the next slice of Albert Square action airs. 

Manchester United take on West Ham United at 7.30pm with Gary Lineker hosting the coverage which kicks off at 7pm.

Alan Shearer and Micah Richards join the BBC presenter to analyse the tie at Old Trafford. 

The coverage comes to an end at 9.30pm and will be followed by a repeat of Mrs Brown’s Boys.

Tuesday’s edition of The One Show has been cancelled while both EastEnders and Holby City have been postponed to Wednesday evening.

EastEnders will air its next instalment on BBC One on Wednesday at 8pm followed by the medical drama at 8.20pm.

In the episode, a struggling Max Branning (Jake Wood) reaches out to an unlikely ally for help. 

Meanwhile, Shirley Carter (Linda Henry) and Mick Carter (Danny Dyer) take action when they’re told a woman matching Tina Carter’s (Luisa Bradshaw White) has been spotted. 

The soap will also be cancelled on Thursday to make way for a second FA Cup tie airing on BBC One.

The concerned mother is convinced the stalwart is responsible for Ian Beale’s (Adam Woodyatt) disappearance.

Rainie Highway (Tanya Franks) confronts Max about his recent behaviour and tells him he’s not fit to look after Abi. 

Max is hurt by her words and refuses to listen but will he realise she’s right? 

Elsewhere, Mick is called to the police station to review his statement about Katy Lewis (Simone Lahbib).

Kush Kazemi (Davood Ghadami) and Whitney Dean (Shona McGarty) share a kiss as they spend Valentine’s Day together. 

Meanwhile, Keegan Baker (Zach Morris) is mortified when he’s persuaded to buy an expensive bag for Tiffany Butcher (Maisie Smith) but is told it’s not the one she wanted. 

EastEnders continues on BBC One on Wednesday at 8pm.
