EastEnders news – Phil Mitchell star caught speeding in London on moped; plus Emmerdale & Coronation Street spoilers

EASTENDERS' Steve McFadden accused of speeding and cutting through traffic in London, a court has heard.

The actor, 62, who plays Phil Mitchell in the BBC soap has been accused of speeding on his Vespa scooter while cutting through traffic in Hampstead.

He was apparently driving at 35mph in the 20mph zone on October 7 last year.

“I was stationary on Fitzjohns Avenue at the junction with Nutley Terrace when I saw a blue Piaggio Vespa travelling along”, said PC Jonathan Steinhof, who stopped McFadden just before midday on the residential road.

“The vehicle was overtaking other vehicles that appeared to be doing the speed limit.

“There is a video evidence relating to this incident.”

Ross Kemp could return to EastEnders – for the right price

EASTENDERS legend Ross Kemp has hinted at a return to Albert Square for the right price.

The 57-year-old, now a documentary maker, played hardman Grant Mitchell regularly from 1990 to 1999.

Asked by Loose Women's Carol McGiffin if he missed acting, Ross, 57, said: "Is it missing me is the question. My age? Rule out nothing."

Carol added: "What about EastEnders? If they said, 'Please come back', what would you say?"

    Ross said: "How much?

As long as it was enjoyable, I'd do it."

Actress Kim Medcalf, who plays Grant's sister Sam Mitchell, is already due to return.

One fan told a forum: "I have a feeling Ross Kemp may be returning with Kim." Another added: "There's a chance."

Ross, who was last seen as Grant in 2016, hinted in December that he could be lured back to acting as he missed the jokes and camaraderie.

He added: "Variety is the spice of life, especially at my age."
