Sharon hovered over the body and bent down to check the pulse of the mystery figure – who was dressed in a suit wearing cufflinks.

She then shockingly revealed to the other women: "He's dead."

Fans were left speculating who the victim could be.

Linda Carter actress Kellie revealed she also knows very little about the murder victim and her character's new story direction.

Kellie appeared on This Morning to discuss the jaw-dropping cliff-hanger and some behind-the-scenes secrets.

The 36-year-old confirmed that a male stand-in was used as the murder victim to film the flash-forward sequence.

So all that viewers and Kellie knows is that the victim is male – but it nearly wasn't.

Kellie revealed: "When we filmed it, they made Tish [Letitia Dean] film it two ways – a ‘he’s dead’ and a ‘she’s dead’.

”So watching it last night was really the first time that I was like: “Oh it is a man.”

She also enlightened viewers that her Linda was seen with a "split lip" when she walked into the Queen Vic pub in the slow motion sequence.

Kellie admitted that she doesn't know how or why her character ended up with the bloody injury yet.
