EastEnders and Emmerdale star Patsy Kensit taken ill with pneumonia

EastEnders and Emmerdale star Patsy Kensit has fallen unwell with pneumonia.

The actress, who will soon make her debut as Emma, Lola Pearce’s (Danielle Harold) mum, in EastEnders, shared an Instagram post of a cheese board while on holiday and confirmed the news in her caption.

‘No skiing for me as I’ve got pneumonia’, she wrote.

‘Spa and steam and thermals up to my eyeballs. Thank you to the amazing NHS for taking care of me on the 29th of December at A&E in Southport, you are the true heroes on this planet. Health is paramount’.

Of course, Patsy received many comments on her post including one from her Holby City co-star, Luke Roberts (Joseph Byrne), who jokingly wrote: ‘Nice looking cornichons’, while fellow Holby star Tina Hobley simply said: ‘Oh my love!’.

Ahead of Patsy’s arrival to EastEnders, a source told The Sun: ‘Bosses are thrilled they have managed to get Patsy for this role.

‘She’s a great actress and is about to play a part in one of their biggest current storylines.’

Lola’s story is currently playing out on screen, with her recently being told she will not survive her recent brain tumour diagnosis.
