Doctor Who star Millie Gibson beams as she reunites with Coronation Street family

Millie Gibson has reunited with her Coronation Street co-stars and our hearts are full.

The Doctor Who star, who played Kelly Neelan on the ITV soap, enjoyed a festive get-together with Toyah Battersby actress Georgia Taylor and Kel Allen, who portrayed her mum Laura.

Kel shared pictures of their reunion on social media, writing: ‘Family Christmas. The best nights are with you. ‘So much love for my queenies x’

Georgia, meanwhile, posted the snap on her own Instagram profile, writing: ‘Full heart and full belly with my darlings @kelallenuk @milliegibbo.’

Millie commented: ‘I love this’, while Kel added: ‘Love youuuu both so much,’ followed by a heart emoji.

Charlie de Melo, who played Imran Habeeb on the serial drama, also wrote under the picture: ‘Oh my goodness’.

It was confirmed last month that Millie, who left Corrie earlier this year, would become the next Doctor Who companion.

Whovians had been going wild with the news that the companion to Ncuti Gatwa’s Doctor would be announced on the live Children in Need Show – and the revelation certainly didn’t disappoint.

Millie stepped out of the Tardis on the live show to applause, and admitted she never even expected to get an audition and couldn’t believe she was the new companion.

Speaking on stage, Millie, revealed she will be playing a character called Ruby Sunday.

We can’t wait to see what’s in store for Ruby!
