Coronation Street actress Charlotte Jordan doesn’t appreciate Rob Mallard’s cheeky notes during filming.
During Monday’s Lorraine, Charlotte (Daisy Midgeley) and Rob (Daniel Osbourne) discussed their current storyline which sees Daisy set for more turmoil in the coming weeks as her stalker hell intensifies.
Viewers have watched with grim unease as Justin’s obsessive behaviour has spiralled, refusing to back off and leave the Corrie favourite alone.
Although the pair seem to get on like a house on fire, Daisy made it clear that her co-star has a bit of a naughty side to him.
‘He sounds very professional but in actual fact Lorraine… what he likes to do is leave me notes on set,’ she told the 63-year-old presenter.
‘Silly silly notes that’ll make me giggle, naughty notes just to see if I can keep a straight face.’
Rob, who immediately jumped in to defend himself added: ‘It’s an old Corrie tradition because apparently Vera and Jack used to enjoy hiding scripts from each other, so during the take, they’d look in the laundry basket to look for their next line and it suddenly wouldn’t be there.’
Charlotte quipped: ‘Lucky for me I’m very professional and know all my lines.’
Daisy, who is engaged to Daniel on the hit soap, is becoming increasingly frightened by him – particularly after he even pretends that she is his wife-to-be.
‘Daisy is a feisty, confident character. She’s got a gob on her and she’s not afraid to tell people to do one if she feels she needs to,’ Charlotte told Metro.co.uk. ‘But what you see is this guy just totally taking her power from her.
‘You can’t control how other people behave and you can’t control how other people interpret things. So she feels totally powerless and you’ll just slowly see Justin eradicate and decimate all the things that make her Daisy which is really sad.
‘Luckily she’s got people around her that love her and are going to support her through it but no one can really understand what she’s going through. He’s going to slowly but surely destroy everything that makes her her, really.’
Lorraine airs weekdays at 9am on ITV.
