Corrie star reveals she 'really doesn't want to' work with co-star ever again

Coronation Street star Sally Carman has revealed that she’s not a fan of working alongside co-star Joe Duttine.

The actress, who portrays Abi Franklin in the ITV soap, is engaged to Tim Metcalfe star Joe in real-life, admits that she finds filming with him incredibly difficult.

‘I don’t work with him that much,’ she said, ‘I really don’t want to work with him.

“It’s because he makes me laugh it’s horrendous.

‘He’s the funniest man I’ve ever met, to the point where I get sweaty and everyone’s like: “ugh, can you just get on with it?”

But would Sally, 45, like some more scenes with Joe?

‘No!,’ she told The Daily Star. ‘I never want to work with him ever again. I just can’t do it!’

This isn’t the first time the soap star has addressed the difficulty of working alongside Joe, as she previously told The Sun that she ‘hates’ it.

‘I hate working with [Joe],’ she said back in May.

‘He’s a rotten man to work with because he makes me laugh to the point where I get that sweaty feeling because I can’t get a grip.’

‘It’s painful. I’ll have gritted teeth and go: “Stop it!”, and he’ll say: “I’m not doing anything”. If I never have a scene with him again I’ll be all right with that.’

Sally has been at the centre of a huge storyline in Coronation Street in recent months, as her character Abi was left heartbroken by the death of son Seb (Harry Visinoni), who was attacked in a brutal hate-crime attack.

Abi had been hoping that killer Corey Brent (Maximus Evans) would pay for his crimes, but he was ultimately found not guilty, in scenes which left fans angry.

‘I think she was daring to believe that justice could be done,’ Sally told Metro.co.uk. ‘That’s why she did everything by the book.

‘With Imran saying: “Trust me, I will get something on them, you were right about Eli”, she was hopeful, which is really hard because she’s had a life where she was let down a lot.

‘It was sheer will for her to believe that perhaps that justice will be done, but of course it isn’t!.’
