Coronation Street's Toyah Battersby kidnapped on her wedding day by vengeful Abi Franklin

TOYAH Battersby's wedding day gets off to a worrying start next week in Coroantion Street.

The counsellor – who is played by actress Georgia Taylor in the ITV soap – will be kidnapped by a vengeful Abi Franklin.

Viewers know Toyah is determined to marry loverat Imran Habeeb in an effort to win permanent custody of his baby with Abi.

And it looks like Abi is determined to put a stop to it by snatching Toyah off the streets on the way to her nuptials.

However, the rest of Toyah's family are alarmed at her sudden rush to tie the knot.

Leanne (Jane Danson) is particularly surprised as she voices her concerns to Toyah about the wedding and the fact that it’s all happening far too quickly.

However, the latter remains defensive and, deeply upset, tells her sister that if she can't rely on her support, Leanne isn't welcome at the wedding.

A guilt-ridden Leanne changes her mind and, while at the hen do, gives Toyah her blessing if she is sure she wants to marry Imran, promising her to be by her side.

The sisters hug their row out while Imran celebrates his own stag do at Speed Daal with Adam Barlow and Craig Tinker.

Sadly for the groom-to-be, the evening turns sour when Abi Webster (Sally Carman) walks into the restaurant and approaches Imran.
