CORONATION Street actor Adam Little has confirmed his exit from the soap following a major storyline.
Adam arrived on the cobbles in June playing Blake Myers – a terrorising teenage bully who turned into a dangerous far right extremist.
Adam’s final scenes aired on Monday night when his character was sentenced for the stabbing of Alya Nazir as well as the attempted murder of Maria Connor.
Fans have had their hopes of a return dashed as Adam paid tribute to the soap on Instagram.
Writing alongside a black and white snap of him posing in the Street’s fictional ginnel, he wrote: “Thank you to @coronationstreet for the opportunity to be a part of this storyline and play crazy man Blake!
"It’s been a blast working with such a friendly cast and crew who have made me so welcome.
"Thank you to all the viewers who have supported and sent me lovely messages it’s really appreciated.”
Adam’s followers were quick to praise his performance and express their disappointment at seeing him exit – despite his character being a villain.
Former co-star Luke Delaney commented: “Smashed it lad. See you out there.” While another follower wrote: “And it’s been great seeing you on my screen and on the set, good luck for the future mate. Look after yourself.”
And a third commented: “Amazing acting Adam. Good luck for your future journey.”
