Coronation Street is set to air a heartbreaking split next week after Alya Nazir discovers her boyfriend Ryan Connor ended up in Daisy Midgeley’s bed.
The devastating scenes come about after Ryan, played by Ryan Prescott, starts spending more time with Daisy, played by Charlotte Jordan, with the two enjoying a drunken night out.
However, things take a dramatic turn when a hungover Ryan wakes up in Daisy’s bed the next morning and begs her to stay quiet.
In later scenes, Daisy deliberately decides to confront Ryan in front of Alya, played by Sair Khan, where she says she isn’t happy about his lies and lets slip he ended up in her bed.
Alya is left devastated over the discovery and insists to Ryan that their relationship is over before confronting Daisy in the café.
After finding Ryan with his bags packed in Victoria Garden, Daisy's stepmum Jenny Connor offers him a place to stay at The Rovers.
Daisy is left delighted over the news as it means they will both be staying together under the same roof.
However, Jenny is soon left suspicious of her stepdaughter’s reaction and accuses her of deliberately splitting the couple up.
The confrontation results in Daisy denying the claims and turning on the tears.
Will Jenny believe Daisy’s side of the story and will Alya give Ryan another chance?
Ever since she first stepped foot on the Corrie cobbles, Daisy has been making waves in Weatherfield.
In an interview last month, actress Charlotte addressed the burning question of a possible on-screen love interest for Daisy and also revealed that she’d recently moved to Manchester after filming picked up for her Coronation Street character.

“She’s great fun to play,” said Charlotte. “I would assume that Daisy views men like they’re toys,” she added when asked whether the character has her eye on anyone.
“At the moment, because everyone on the street is pretty loved up, she’s probably not getting the attention she wants – so she’s probably a bit bored on that front. If Daisy is bored I feel like that can only mean trouble,” explained Charlotte.
The 26-year-old actress admitted that there’s no cast member “in particular” who she’d want to be paired up with.
“I mean, I’ll take whatever they give me,” she laughed. “We’ll make it work."
Coronation Street homes
Things have really picked up for Daisy since her first scenes aired last November with her love triangle story set to take place next week.
“It’s brilliant working on a soap,” said Charlotte – reflecting on her time in the soap.
“I’ve moved up to Manchester now – just in time for it to start picking up a little bit for Daisy. It’s nice to be on set a bit more.”
Coronation Street continues on Tuesday at 8pm on ITV.
