Britain's Got Talent magician X is the 'spookiest' act the show has ever seen – but how did he pull off THAT trick and were Ant and Dec in on it?

BRITAIN'S Got Talent is through to the semi-final rounds.

One of the acts hoping to wow the judges and make it through to the final is a magician known simply as X.

Who is the magician known as X? How did he do on BGT?

Little is known about the mysterious performer known as X.

Keeping his identity hidden, he arrived on stage  for his BGT audition in April 2019 wearing a white masquerade mask and a black hood over his head.

Continuing his enigmatic appearance, he wore a black suit with a black shirt and leather gloves.

His act was so impressive he won a spot in the show's semi-final TONIGHT (May 31, 2019).

How did magician X perform his trick on BGT?

The white masked performer asked BGT hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly to partake in the act.

Immediately he unsettled the TV presenters as he broke with tradition and asked them to sit the "wrong way round".

The cheeky Geordie duo, both 43, famously always stand with Ant on Dec's right.

As he sat Dec in the seat to his right and Ant to his left, Ant exclaimed: "Ooh, the wrong way round!"

X then got the pair to close their eyes as he performed his trick, which you can watch above.

Were Ant & Dec in on the act?

The presenting duo appeared shocked to be asked to take part in sneak peek images ahead of tonight's show.

Although it isn't yet known how they are exactly approached by X to be in involved in the performance, they willing volunteer for the mysterious performer.

They seem not to know what's ahead of them after the magician asked them to sit the "wrong way round" then how they usually appear.

When is the Britain's Got Talent final?

The show goes out at 7.30pm on ITV.
