ALTERED Carvon won't be returning for a third series on Netflix, much to fans' dismay.
The sci-fi thriller won a loyal fanbase with its high production values, epic fight scenes and beautiful visuals, but that wasn't enough to save it from the chop.
According to Deadline, the decision was made back in April and kept under wraps.
It's reportered that the reaosn behind the cancellation was the high cost of the show relative to the audience it pulled in.
Strangest of all is the fact that the show's boss has been teasing fans with what they could expect in a third season in recent months.
Netflix has previouslt admitted that viewership for a lot of shows tends to tail off after two series amid a raft of cancellations.
