A Place In The Sun’s Danni Menzies sent hundreds of crude texts when show airs

A Place In The Sun presenter Danni Menzies has revealed that she gets sent crude messages from male fans while the Channel 4 show is airing.

The star gets so fed up with the X-rated texts that she has admitted that she has thought about sending the messages on to their parents.

Danni says she gets around 300 messages every time the show is on, and some of the rudest messages will come from men who are double her age.

She told Entertainment Daily: "It was one of the first things that happened once I got the job and it was pretty disgusting.

"I considered finding the guy’s mother on Facebook and sending it to her but I didn’t. It would’ve terrified her."

Danni added: "I literally get about 300 every time the show’s on.

"They say: ‘Do you have a minute to talk?’ ‘Can I take you out on Friday?’ Just from Jim who’s 65 and I’m like really, really Jim? I never reply. Definitely not. Block and delete."

Danni isn't the only star on the show who has faced rude messages from viewers as Laura Hamilton has also revealed she gets the same treatment.

The mum told The Sun: "I did get a message not that long ago from somebody that was a picture of them with a face mask over their private parts.

"And then the string of the facemask up their bottom, and I was like: 'I don't need to see this.' I just blocked it straight away."

However, Laura did say that she could see the funny side to the rude message sent by the fan.

She added: "It did make me laugh, I was like: 'That's not the way we use face masks. But thanks very much.'"

The sender hid his face from the shot to protect his identity but he captioned the saucy picture: "I can’t wait to get out of lockdown."

A Place in The Sun airs on weekdays on Channel 4.
