A cliff-top home in Cornwall is on the market for £1.35million

Always loved the charm of the British coastline?

A new property listing might pique your interest.

The bungalow in question is perched on a cliff in Cornwall’s Lizard Peninsula and boasts incredible views, as far as St Michael’s Mount and Land’s End.

There’s just one minor detail.

The four-bedroom house, named Tregwinian, is currently on the market for £1.35million.

In total, it includes around 1,500 sq ft of living space with a sun room, dining room, sitting room, kitchen, four bedrooms and two bathrooms, plus an outdoor swimming pool – so it would also work well as a holiday home.

If that wasn’t enough square footage, there’s also a detached chalet with a living room and shower room.

What’s more, it has planning permission for a possible extension – which would make the 1950s bungalow even more impressive.

Another key selling point is the fact that Tregwinian offers uninterrupted views of the sea.

In terms of the location itself, there are several beaches and coves within a 30-minute walk of the property and the village of Mullion is about half a mile away.

Jamie Cane, from estate agents Lillicrap Chilcott, said: ‘Tregwinian is in an absolutely beautiful location on the Lizard Peninsula in an area of outstanding natural beauty.

‘The house is on the cliffs overlooking Polurrian cove and beach. It has the most incredible view, not just straight out to sea but you’ve got the landscape as well.

‘The lane in front of the house is the South West Coast Path, so you step out your front gate straight onto the coast path.

‘The house is in the middle of this absolutely incredible stretch of coastline, it’s rural Cornwall at its best.’

Tregwinian has been owned by the same family for the last 25 years – who use the property as a holiday home.

Now the house is on the market, Jamie stresses that it would be perfect for anyone looking for a little tranquility.

He said: ‘It does feel quite wild out there, in the best possible way. Looking out on the clifftop there you feel like you could be absolutely anywhere. It’s very untouched.’
