Travis Scott Replaced by Post Malone at Day N Vegas Festival

The ‘Astroworld’ rapper has been replaced by the ‘Congratulations’ hitmaker at the Las Vegas music event after backing out of gig following fatal tragedy at his festival.

AceShowbizPost Malone has stepped in to replace Travis Scott at the Day N Vegas Festival in Las Vegas this Saturday (13Nov21), after the rapper cancelled his scheduled performance following the Astroworld tragedy.

The “Sicko Mode” rapper pulled out of the festival as he is reportedly “too distraught to play” the gig, after eight people were killed and hundreds more injured when fans pushed towards the stage at his event last Friday.

Day N Vegas organisers announced on Monday that Scott was no longer going to perform, writing in a statement, “The security and safety of all attending Day N Vegas has been and is always top of priority in our festival planning.”

“We continue to work hand in hand with law enforcement, medical personnel and public safety agencies on our protocols for the weekend.”

They then added that Malone had stepped in to perform in his place, writing, “We are excited that Post Malone has been added to close out Saturday night.”

Other performers due to take to the stage during the weekend festival include Roddy Ricch, Kendrick Lamar, and Tyler, the Creator.

Travis Scott has been under fire following the fatal tragedy at his event as he was accused of ignoring pleas to shut down the festival when things got out of control.

The rapper said he was “absolutely devastated” by the tragedy but insisted he was unaware of what really happened among the crowd.

“Anytime I could make out, you know, anything that’s going on, you know I stop the show and, you know, help them get the help they need,” he claimed. “My fans really mean the world to me. I always just want to leave them with a positive experience. I could just never understand the severity of the situation.”
