Strictly’s Nadiya Bychkova back home as ‘ex tries last attempt to win her back’

Strictly Come Dancing pro Nadiya Bychkova has reportedly jetted back to her ex fiance Matija Skarabot after her rumoured romance with Strictly co-star Kai Widdrington.

The BBC One dancer, 32, is said to be staying at the home of her former fiance, footballer Matija Skarabot, in her native country of Slovenia.

Nadiya was snapped on a sunny stroll with her mum and daughter – who live with 34-year-old Matija.

It appeared Nadiya's Strictly co-star Kai Widdrington was nowhere to be seen on the outing.

It comes after Nadiya and Kai's rumoured romance was revealed as they were snapped kissing in a hotel bar.

Sports star Matija unfollowed Nadiya on social media after the loved-up photos were revealed.

However, this weekend it's understood he threw a homecoming party for Nadiya, who was welcomed back with flowers and a lush bottle of champagne.

The footie defender even let her drive around in his Porsche, according to The Sun.

A source told the publication: "Nadiya has been away for months, but has missed her family desperately, especially her daughter.

"After the tour she couldn’t wait to get back to them and see everyone.

"It’s tricky for her being with Kai. Everything back home is still as it was before. Her mum lives with her ex-fiance in the same house and Nadiya still even drives his car."

The source went on to say people in Slovenia think the pair are still a couple, and that it looks like the dancer will fly back and forth to make things work.

They added that she's got rehearsals coming up soon for the Strictly Professionals tour which kicks off in April – where she'll be working alongside Kai.

Nadiya joined the Strictly family in 2017 during the fifteenth series of the BBC One ballroom show, where she was partnered with EastEnders actor Davood Ghadami.

Last year, she was paired up BBC Breakfast star Dan Walker, and the pair made it all the way to the semi-finals of the competition before losing out to Rose-Ayling Ellis, AJ Odudu and John Whaite.

Daily Star has contacted representatives for Nadiya, Matija and Kai for comment.
