N-Dubz fans left fuming as gig cancelled due to illness minutes before show

N-Dubz have told fans they are "deeply sorry" after calling off a performance just minutes before it was meant to start.

The Say It's Over singers – Tulisa, Dappy and Fazer – were supposed to take to the stage at Nottingham's Motorpoint Arena but fans were told the gig was off after the support acts had already performed.

An announcement said the performance had been postponed and would be rescheduled "due to artist illness" and the group have since confirmed that a doctor said Dappy was unable to perform and needed to rest.

However, many fans were furious about the late cancellation, with one saying on Twitter that they felt "savaged" and another saying they felt like a "mug".

Others said they were disappointed after waiting so long to see N-Dubz, who reunited this year after more than a decade.

One tweeted: "We all sat around waiting for nothing, money spent on alcohol, travel fare, merch, for them to cancel 5 mins before. What do we do with hospitality? Do we get another meal? Our night has been ruined."

Another posted: "Took a day off, travelled over 100 miles to Nottingham arena to see N-Dubz. Sat in my seat for two hours to be informed the show was cancelled 5 mins before performing. Gutted to say the least."

One fan said they were "absolutely fuming".

"Imagine waiting 12 years to see N-Dubz for it to be cancelled 2 minutes before they come on," tweeted someone else.

Apologising to their fans, the group said in a statement on Instagram: "We’re so sorry we had to cancel the show tonight. We tried to do everything possible to make the show happen, but a doctor advised at the very last minute that Dappy was unable to perform and needed to rest tonight.

"We had to take this advice seriously and consider Dappy’s health so that the rest of the tour can happen, which has so far has been amazing.

"The O2 Arena show tomorrow (November 23) and the rest of the tour will still be going ahead. We will make a further statement after Dappy has seen the doctor again tomorrow morning.

"We’re deeply sorry to all the fans who travelled to see us tonight and promise to make it up to you with a new rescheduled date for the show.

"Dappy, Tulisa & Fazer."
