Leonardo DiCaprio first met model girlfriend when she was 12 years old

Leonardo DiCaprio's love life is a pretty controversial one. The 47-year-old actor is notorious for dating younger women and while his age continues to rise, his girlfriends have stayed young.

It seems that the Titanic star may have a strict cut-off when it comes to the age of the women he's dating, after it was revealed by a redditor in 2019 that he had never dated a woman over the age of 25.

DiCaprio will be celebrating five years with current girlfriend Camila Morrone this year, after the couple started dating in 2017 and Morrone is close to breaking the record as the actor's oldest girlfriend.

But while it's the longest relationship that Leo has had in many years, he's previously split with three women when they reached the age of 25.

Throughout their relationship, the couple have been the subject of a long-running joke that their romance is doomed to end before Camila turns 26.

In 2018 she went on to star in Never Goin' Back and Death Wish before getting her breakout role in Mickey and the Bear in 2019.

Morrone is set to star in the upcoming Amazon series Daisy Jones & The Six, which has been produced by Reese Witherspoon and is based on a best-selling novel.

Camila was familiar with the acting world from a young age and was born in Los Angeles, California to Argentinian parents Maximo Morrone and Lucila Sola.

Her father was a famous model and actor who starred in Los Luchadores, Forbidden Warrior and CSI Miami, while her mother was also an actress.

Camila's mother also dated Hollywood legend Al Pacino and Camila even referred to him as her stepfather.

How old is Leonardo DiCaprio's girlfriend?

Camila Morrone is 25 years old and celebrated her birthday in June.

The actress reportedly first met Leonardo when she was just 12 years old when Al Pacino introduced her to his actor friend in 2009, Leo was 35 at the time.

In 2017 the pair were reunited at Cannes Film Festival when Camila was 19 and Leonardo was 43 and they began dating shortly after.

Their 23-year age gap has caused a lot of controversy, but Camila has previously addressed their difference in age, saying she doesn't think that it should be an issue.

She told the Los Angeles Times: "There’s so many relationships in Hollywood — and in the history of the world — where people have large age gaps,” she said, adding, “I just think anyone should be able to date who they want to date.”
