Home and Away fans have been enjoying the unfurling storyline between Matthew Montgomery, Chloe and Mia since the former arrived in Summer Bay.
The shady character turned up out of the blue leaving Mia in an awkward position as she battled with her conscience over whether or not to tell Chloe the truth about who her father is and the tragic events surrounding her falling pregnant.
Fans are poised on the edge of their seats for the upcoming storyline which will ultimately see Chloe murder her father as she struggles to protect her mother from her former rapist.
Actor James Sweeny has brought the role to life perfectly, but it couldn't be a further cry from his own lifestyle as an actor.
Home and Away role
James joined Home and Away last week as Matthew Montgomery and has already been causing a stir.
While his stint in Summer Bay will be fairly short-lived, it's going to have repercussions that could be around for a very long time to come.
The role will culminate in Matthew being murdered by Chloe as a fight breaks out when he refuses to leave quietly and sets upon her mum Mia.
Chloe picks up a nearby brick and strikes her father and accidentally kills him, as the tragedy fully plays out.
While Chloe is going to murder Matthew, actress Sam Barrett and James are firm friends.
The pair are often hanging out together since they met when he joined the Aussie soap.
One Instagram post shared to the world online saw James posing alongside pal Sam with her baby daughter as he wrote: "18 months old and already funnier than me."
James isn't one to shy away from a public display of affection when it comes to his personal life and regularly shares updates with his partner to his Instagram page.
James and Jessica appear to enjoy quite then lavish lifestyle full of scenic trips and fancy meals.
The couple also share their very own fur baby – a spaniel called Bernie.
Rival soap appearance
James may be known as Home And Away's malicious Matthew currently, but he already had a stint in rival soap Neighbours which saw him walking the tarmac on Ramsay Street.
He played Ryan Prescott in the soap back in 2016 over a run of eight episodes in total.
The role saw him harassing Amy Williams after it turned out she used to work for his lingerie-cleaning business.
The character was eventually forced to leave town after the local residents worked together to get rid of him, culminating in Terese buying a hard drive from him that contained footage he was using to attempt to blackmail her.
Home and Away airs weekdays on Channel 5 in the UK
