Coleen Rooney agrees ‘multi-million pound Disney+ deal for Wagatha Christie doc’

Coleen Rooney is reportedly on track to sign a multi-million pound deal with Disney+ after she won the Wagatha Christie court trial.

The long-running saga between Coleen, 36, and nemesis Rebekah Vardy, 30, who battled it out in the High Court during a seven-day trial, was finally put to an end when a judge ruled in Coleen’s favour last month.

Streaming giants Disney+ allegedly went head-to-head against rivals Netflix, Amazon Prime and Discovery to secure Coleen’s signature, reports the Daily Mirror.

It’s been rumoured that the documentary is being produced by Lorton Entertainment, which released her husband Wayne’s documentary Rooney earlier this year.

A source told The Sun: “This is a massive deal for Coleen — in every sense. Since her first damning social media post outing Rebekah, she has remained steadfastly silent.

“Now the public will see first hand the toll this whole case took on her and her family — and why she took the action she took.

“Cameras had — and continue to have — unfiltered access to her home. Viewers will see what was going on in Coleen’s head in the weeks after her infamous ‘… it’s Rebekah Vardy’s account’ post. It will be TV dynamite.”

The documentary is said to explore the finer details of Coleen’s suspicions of Rebekah.

Coleen accused Jamie Vardy’s wife’s Instagram account of leaking stories from her private Instagram account to the tabloids.

She won the blockbuster libel case last month after a nearly three-year battle with Rebekah.

Coleen said she had carried out a “sting operation” and accused Rebekah’s account of leaking “false stories” about her private life to the press.

During the sting operation, Coleen planted fake stories on her Instagram, which featured her travelling to Mexico for a “gender selection” procedure, her planning to return to TV and the basement flooding at her home.

Rebekah had always vehemently denied Coleen’s accusations and launched libel proceedings in 2020.

In her own statement, Rebekah said she was “extremely sad and disappointed” by the decision and she did not accept it nor believe it “was just”.
