Caitlyn Jenner’s family ’embarrassed’ as she runs for governor of California

Caitlyn Jenner’s family are reportedly embarrassed that she is running for governor of California.

The 71-year-old’s sons, Brody, Brandon, and Burt do not think that she is qualified for the position, according to TMZ.

It is claimed that the trio instead “strongly suggested she pump the brakes” on her campaign when she told them she was running.

The news comes as it was also reported that the Kardashians family along with Kylie and Kendall Jenner would not be helping to campaign for Caitlyn either.

TMZ claims that the fallout behind the divorce of Caitlyn and Kris was too messy and the kids did not want to increase any tension by supporting Caitlyn.

Also, it is thought Kim Kardashian and Caitlyn have severely clashed over prison reform, as Caitlyn’s views are said to be in direct contradiction to Kim’s.

Caitlyn tweeted: “This is horrible and also avoidable. Gavin’s District Attorneys across California are releasing dangerous criminals back on to our streets. Enough is enough. #RecallGavin," in response to a story about a 7-month-old who was killed by a man who was allegedly arrested twice this year for domestic violence but released.

Kim on the other hand has been prolific with her advocacy for prison reform and sources say she is supportive of Governor Gavin Newsom’s approach of rehabilitating and offering reentry support to those coming out of prison.

TMZ reports she was left feeling “disturbed” by Caitlyn’s strong statement.

Caitlyn announced her campaign to run for governor last week after rumours earlier this month.
