Robert Pattinson admits he ‘can’t stop masturbating’ in movies

You might not want to bring your children to see Robert Pattinson’s new movie, as apparently it opens with a ‘ferocious masturbation scene’.

The 33-year-old will next appear in The Lighthouse, a thrilling black-and-white horror movie that has earned the actor critical-acclaim and predictions of an Oscar nomination next year.

Well it sounds like R-Patz stunned audiences from the jump as the opening scene doesn’t exactly beat around the bush.

‘Well my first shot was this ferocious masturbation scene. It’s always nice to do something massive for your opening shot, and I went really massive on the first take,’ Robert told The New York Times.

Although the masturbation scene was very much written in the script, it seems Robert went rogue and added his own flavour to the shot which surprised even the director Robert Eggers.

The Twilight actor revealed: ‘It was a 180 from everything we’d done in rehearsal, and I could see Robert [Eggers] a little in shock afterward.

‘But I was like, “OK, cool, I didn’t get told to stop, so I’ll keep going in that direction”. As soon as I’d done that, it was like the road started getting paved.’

Clearly the British actor is comfortable with pretending to pleasure himself on-screen thanks to his most recent roles.

‘I keep masturbating, Robert recently admitted to Variety.

‘In the last three or four movies, I’ve got a masturbation scene. I did it in High Life. I did it in Damsel. And The Devil All the Time. I only realised when I did it the fourth time.’

Blimey, someone give the guy a break.

The Lighthouse sees Robert star alongside Willem Dafoe as two lighthouse keepers trapped in solitude and risking their sanity on a remote New England island in the 1800s.

In addition to feigning masturbation, Robert went to great lengths to prepare for The Lighthouse, such as ‘p**sing his pants’ and making himself throw up.

The Lighthouse is out in UK cinemas on 31 January 2020.
