[Photo] Fan Art Depicts Robert Pattinson As Peter Parker

Twilight star Robert Pattinson has the fortunes of playing the Caped Crusader in Matt Reeves’ upcoming 2021 blockbuster, The Batman.

The 34-year-old Pattinson will be the seventh actor to portray Batman in a live action film. He was named as Ben Affleck’s replacement in May of last year, following the latter’s decision to step away from the franchise.

As we await Pattinson’s performance as Batman, some can’t help but envision him as a different comic book superhero. What would Pattinson look like if he were to don the Spider-Man outfit?

We’ll never know, of course. Pattinson will most certainly never be cast as Spider-Man, who’s part of the rival Marvel Universe.

But that didn’t stop digital artist Venomhology from putting together a detailed and creative art piece that depicts Pattinson as Peter Parker/Spider-Man. Have a look for yourself:

It’s certainly a different look than the Peter Parker/Spider-Man portrayals of Tobey Maguire (who starred in the initial Spider-Man trilogy), Andrew Garfield (The Amazing Spider-Man and The Amazing Spider-Man 2) and Tom Holland (Spider-Man: Homecoming)

There has been plenty of compelling fan art regarding Pattinson in different movie roles. Here was another one that depicted him as the next James Bond.

After seeing #Tenet there’s not a doubt in my mind that Robert Pattinson should be the next #007 – Would you like to see Pattinson as James Bond? – Follow @barrett.digital for more concepts!

The Batman was initially slated for a June 2021 release, but production was halted in March due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Filming was once again paused when Pattinson reportedly tested positive. The Batman is now scheduled to hit theaters on Oct. 1, 2021.

There are two planned sequels for Reeves’ Batman movie series. Following the negative reviews of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016) and the lukewarm reception of Justice League (2017), there is mounting pressure on Reeves and Pattinson to deliver a grade-A batman movie.

The initial trailer was met with favorable reactions, so they’re on the right track. And the star-studded cast should also help Reeves put together a successful film.
