From Daniel Craig to the Cast of Game of Thrones: Here Are All the Star Wars Cameos You Missed

With an expansive cast and high-stakes moments, it’s easy to miss that Star Wars has quitely snuck in some major celebs to play small roles or make cameos in the franchise.

Craig suits up as a Stormtrooper in a slightly significant role in The Force Awakens. The James Bond actor is the guard in charge of watching Rey, who in turn uses the force for the first time to convince him to let her go. 

Byrne had a small role as a handmaiden to Natalie Portman’s Queen-turned-Senator Amidala in George Lucas’ second prequel.

I got to work with Natalie. I’m such a fan of her and her work. She’s my age, and she was so lovely to me. I only had one line,” Byrne told EW. “I worked heavily, months and months of work, with various acting coaches. It was a lot of work, but me and George, we got there in the end.”

Star Wars actor John Boyega revealed that the Dunkirk actor filmed a small cameo as a Stormtrooper for The Last Jedi — along with royalty…

That’s right, the royal brothers and Star Wars fans put on the Stormtropper suit for their big screen debut in The Last Jedi. Although the cameo might have been cut out in the end, the two still held a royal premiere for the film in London ahead of its opening. 

Pegg actuall had a relatively large role in The Force Awakens, he was just completely unrecognizable. The British actor donned tons of prothetics and latex as Unkar Plutt, the junkyard boss who haggles with Rey at the beginning of the film and is in possession of the Millenium Falcon. 

The former Saturday Night Live actor served as a voicing consultant for BB-8.

“J.J. Abrams called me and said, ‘Hey man, do you want to do a voice in Star Wars,’” Hader told Jimmy Kimmel about the experience. “He didn’t tell me it was the new R2-D2 character.”

The famed director had a small role as an attendee in the prequel movie The Phantom Menace alongside Natalie Portman.

The creator himself had a role in the series when he played Baron Papanoida in Revenge of the Sith

The Last Jedi director got to appear in the series before taking the helm of the eigth movie in the standalone Rogue One. Johnson played the gunner who fired the superweapon in the movie. 

The Love Actually actor had a small role in The Force Awakens as First Order Petty Officer Thanisson. Brodie-Sangster is the one who tries to warn the First Order about Finn and Poe’s escape before Finn shoots him.

Brodie-Sangster wasn’t the only Game of Thrones actor to make an appearance. 

Mark Stanley, who played Jon Snow’s friend Grenn, Miltos Yerolemou, Aria’s sword fighting teacher Syrio Forel and Jessica Henwick, who played Nymeria Sand, all appear in The Force Awakens

Baby Driver director Edgar Wright is trading red Subarus for starships.

Wright is one of several famous faces to make a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it cameo in Star Wars: The Last Jedi. He shared a behind-the-scenes snap of his day on set as a Resistance fighter. The director posted a photo of himself in costume, along with his brother Oscar, Leo Thompson, and Attack the Block director Joe Cornish.
