Twenty One Pilots Share Look Back In Time In ‘The Hype’ Video

Twenty one pilots have dropped a new music video for “The Hype” from the band’s 2018 album, Trench.

The video shows singer/bassist Tyler Joseph and drummer Josh Dun moving up from playing to a few friends in a suburban rec room to a crowded basement and eventually to the roof of a house playing to a street packed with fans.

The video was directed by Twenty One Pilots’ collaborators Andrew Donoho and Reel Bear Media.

After “Chlorine” and “Cut My Lip,” “The Hype” is the third song the band released from Trench.

Meanwhile, a busy schedule is awaiting Twenty One Pilots.

After performing at Chicago’s Lollapalooza and San Francisco’s Outside Lands festivals, the band will embark on a month-long U.S. Bandito Tour on October 9 at the Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida.
