The cause of Toni Braxton‘s niece’s death has been revealed.
Lauren Braxton, the daughter of Toni‘s younger brother Michael Conrad Braxton Jr., died at the age of 24 on April 29 in Maryland.
Following an autopsy by the medical examiner’s office in Maryland, her death was determined to be caused by a heroin overdose and fantanyl intoxication, according to E! News on Wednesday (June 26).
“We ask that you please respect the family’s privacy in this time of sadness and loss,” the family said in a statement following her death.
